Michael J. Sundstedt, Esq.

earned his B.A. Degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach, in 1976 and obtained his law degree from Western State University in 1980.

Mr. Sundstedt has acquired an impressive track record and wealth of experience in his years as a civil lawyer in Orange County and Southern California in general. He has tried numerous civil and criminal jury and bench trials in Orange County, San Diego County, Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, and as far north as Alameda county. He has arbitrated and/or mediated hundreds of cases on behalf of his clients to a successful resolution. He has represented hundreds of corporate clients, small business owners, real property developers, commercial lessors, homeowners, and accident victims in a wide range of legal matters, all of which give him the ability to not only provide effective seasoned legal representation in court, but also render the type of pro-active legal advice which keeps his clients out of the courtroom.
Presently, Mr. Sundstedt is admitted to practice before all the California courts and The United States District Court for the Central District of California. Mr. Sundstedt maintains a California State Real Estate Brokers license, and has received the coveted AV rating in legal ability and ethical standards from Martindale-Hubbell publication. Mr. Sundstedt is also a member of the Orange County Bar Association and the Thomas More Society.
Mr. Sundstedt is married, with five children and one grandson.

Lani M. Goodman, Esq.

received her B.A. Degree in Psychology from California State University, Long Beach, in 2002, and graduated from Chapman University School of Law with her law degree in 2005, where she was actively involved in the Student Bar Association, and was a competitor on the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board. While in law school, she completed an internship with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office, in the Justice System Integrity Division. She also completed a legal externship for the Attorney General, Department of Justice, in the Licensing Section where she actively participated in administrative hearings.

Presently, Ms. Goodman is admitted to practice before all California courts and The United States District Court for the Central District of California. Ms. Goodman is also a real estate broker licensed by the California Department of Real Estate.

Since 2005, Ms. Goodman has practiced civil law focusing primarily on business litigation, including but not limited to real property disputes, partnership dissolution, breach of contract claims and fraud claims. She has recognized success and experience in assisting employers and business owners in defending claims related to ADA violations, labor code violations, and contract disputes. Ms. Goodman has also represented trustees and beneficiaries in trust litigation and related trust and estate issues. Ms. Goodman has assisted in and conducted several jury and bench trials and has argued before the California Court of Appeal.

Ms. Goodman is currently a member of the Orange County Bar Association, and has participated in both the Solo / Small Firm Section and the Orange County Women Lawyers Association. In 2011, she began her service on the State Bar's Committee on Administration of Justice wherein she assisted with the proposal, commentary and review of proposed changes in civil procedure, court rules and administration, rules of evidence, and other matters having an impact on the administration of justice in the civil courts. Ms. Goodman served as the Vice-Chair of this Committee for the 2014/2015 year, and as Chair of this Committee for the 2015/2016 year. Presently, she serves as the Immediate Past Chair. Ms. Goodman has earned an accreditation by the Department of Veteran Affairs to assist local veterans on a pro bono basis. Further, she has served as an advisor on the Gamma Theta Advisory Board, for her Alma Mater, California State University, Long Beach.

Frank E. Sundstedt, Esq.

received his B.A. Degree in Finance from California State University, Long Beach, and graduated from Southwestern University School of Law, in 1972.

Mr. Sundstedt's successful year criminal law career in the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office culminated with his four year appointment as Assistant District Attorney under Gil Garcetti (second in command to Garcetti), where he served as the Supervisor of Central Operations and Branch and Area Operations, and where he also served as the Chairman and final decision maker of the Special Circumstances Committee, the elite group within the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office that decides those criminal law cases in all of Los Angeles County which would be prosecuted as capital offense (death penalty) cases. Since March, 2001, Mr. Sundstedt has been in private criminal law practice.
In addition to his 175 plus criminal law jury trials, Mr. Sundstedt has tried several jury trials which have been argued and affirmed at the California Supreme Court level, and numerous criminal cases which were affirmed and/or published in the California District Court of Appeals. Mr. Sundstedt’s criminal law trial experience ranges from capital cases to misdemeanor offenses.

Presently, Mr. Sundstedt is admitted to practice law before all California courts. Mr. Sundstedt has been a fellow in the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers since 1996.

Jon A. Dieringer, Esq.

Of Counsel

earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach, in 1986. Mr. Dieringer earned his Juris Doctor from Western State in 1992, and he opened his law office the same year.

Since admission to practice law in 1992, Mr. Dieringer has served businesses and individuals in the Orange County community, and Southern California. He has advised and represented parties in litigation throughout the southland, including courts in Orange County, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, Los Angeles County, San Diego County, and Ventura County.

Mr. Dieringer is a former Loan Officer and Loan Processor, a unique experience shared by few other attorneys. He has benefited from the experiences of his former lending career and from his more recent legal career and experience in litigating favorable outcomes for real estate disputes, including on behalf of home buyers, sellers, home inspectors and agents.

As part of his practice, Mr. Dieringer has advocated on behalf of employees in claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and wage claims. As general in-house counsel to an automobile dealer group in the Inland Empire, Mr. Dieringer implemented successful preventative measures and policies that led to higher employee satisfaction and eliminated employment claims.

Mr. Dieringer has recently become certified as a mediator, and he periodically volunteers his time to mediate and resolve lawsuits filed with the court.

Mr. Dieringer is admitted to practice before all California state courts, and before the United States District Court for the Central and Southern Districts of California, and before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Jon has argued cases before the California Appellate Courts in the Second and Fourth District Courts of Appeals, and in the Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Dieringer also volunteers his time through the National Ski Patrol in the local Southern California mountains.
